Position Overview
We are seeking a Project Manager I to support research and development projects at Johnson & Johnson in Irvine, CA. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and bring innovative cardiovascular technologies to market. The ideal candidate will utilize project management methodologies to ensure successful project execution and help deliver solutions that improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in establishing project goals to support product development and market needs.
- Work with R&D, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to define product specifications aligned with customer requirements.
- Develop and execute short-term and long-term project plans to meet organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with medical professionals to gather product insights and facilitate evaluations when needed.
- Monitor project milestones and deliverables to ensure they are achieved within designated timelines and budgets.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and leadership regarding project progress, issues, or opportunities.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Science discipline is required.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in project management or product development.
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
- Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal).
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage deliverables.
- Ability to travel up to 10% domestically if required.
Preferred:
- Basic knowledge of medical device regulations and external standards is a plus.
- Prior experience working with cross-functional global teams is an asset.
