Job Title: Logistics and Records Specialist
Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Monday through Friday)
Pay Rate: $21/hour
Location: Aurora, CO
Duration: Temporary
Job Summary
The Logistics and Records Specialist plays a vital role in maintaining and processing physical assets stored in the company’s Records Center. This role involves handling incoming and outgoing orders, managing internal moves, performing quality checks, and supporting special projects. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, ensuring timely and accurate processing while maintaining safety and operational standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Process daily incoming and rush work orders from Client Services, scanning carton barcodes and locations.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in incoming or outgoing orders; prepare, manifest, and bundle orders for shipment.
- Scan and verify all incoming containers, files, and tapes, ensuring alignment with work orders and pallet tags.
- Facilitate client on-site record reviews and retrieve requested files, containers, and tapes daily.
- Organize files (within 48 hours), containers (within 24 hours), and tapes (within 24 hours) following company protocols.
- Load and unload company trucks and vans, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Maintain assigned racking areas, ensuring organization and cleanliness.
- Accurately complete necessary paperwork and communicate any issues to the manager.
- Inspect and maintain all equipment, including scanners and vehicles, to ensure proper functioning.
- Conduct scheduled audits and ensure compliance with safety standards, such as repairing damaged containers and clearing floors of debris.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Notify the appropriate manager of urgent issues, including customer complaints or operational concerns.
- Participate in safety and security drills and report any violations to management.
- Understand and perform tasks in alignment with the company’s Disaster Recovery Plan.
- Ensure all workplace incidents and injuries are reported promptly to a supervisor.
- Collaborate with team members and provide support as needed.
- Travel between facilities when required.
- Work overtime as necessary to meet business needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to two years of experience in a warehouse/physical atmosphere and/or service industry.
- Proficient in operating forklifts and/or pick lifts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to complete accurate paperwork.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy, quality assurance & self-motivator.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Routine lifting of 20–50 pounds (up to 100–400 containers per day).
- Routine scanning, bending, stretching, and overhead reaching.
- Pushing and pulling boxes and pallet jacks.
- Climbing stairs and using tools to maneuver materials.
- This role requires being on your feet for the majority of the workday.
- Operating forklifts and/or pick lifts as required.
Other Duties
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by a supervisor.
