What’s a typical day as a Structural Mechanic II? You’ll:
- Perform assembly and fitting of detailed parts and structures, including drilling and riveting operations, ensuring all parts meet specified requirements.
- Rivet structural assemblies and parts using tools such as portable riveting guns, pneumatic drills, and rivet shavers.
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and operation sheets to determine the sequence of operations and hole patterns for rivets.
- Maintain accurate records and logs, ensuring all work is defect-free before final inspection.
- Support Lean Activities and maintain a neat and orderly work area while complying with all safety regulations.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
Must-haves:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and a 6″ scale.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work any shift, as well as climb ladders and work in restricted areas.
- 2 years of related structural assembly experience.
Nice to have:
- Experience working with Solumina and Smarteam preferred.
- Aerospace industry experience.
