Overview:
Our team is expanding! We are looking for a full-time experienced Program Manager who is passionate about their work and interested in an opportunity to work in a leadership role with a global medical contract manufacturer. This role involves organizing and coordinating a new project development launch for a highly regarded healthcare customer on a program that makes a difference to our team, our customer, and their patients.
Are you inspired by the ability to make a difference? The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader who will liaise between the customer and our manufacturing molding facility to manage the planning, execution, and tracking of a new program launch.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the key point of contact with the customer, addressing issues and concerns efficiently, effectively, and timely.
- Proactively coordinate team activities in planning, problem solving, decision making, and risk management to ensure continued support of program requirements.
- Assist in establishing the program controls, including processes, procedures, reporting, etc., required to manage the program.
- Lead the overall program and monitor progress to ensure that milestones are being met across the project.
- Manage the program budget.
- Manage risks and issues that might arise over the course of the program life cycle and take measures to address them when they occur.
- Coordinate the project and use of resources to ensure deliverables are aligned.
- Oversee the management of product launch into the production environment.
- Lead program reviews and establish a cadence and process to ensure all necessary project management documents are executed for on-time and on-budget project completion consistent with customer expectations.
- Understand and develop leading versus lagging metrics.
- Develop and execute program corrective action strategies.
- Operate in a team environment to help meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Oversee daily management throughout the life cycle of the program.
- Ensure customer needs are addressed by communicating with the management team and requesting necessary resources to support needs in a cost-effective, timely manner.
- Engage in proactive problem solving using established methods.
- Act as an advisor on the overall quality of relationships, seek opportunities, pull resources, and implement actions to improve and solidify customer relationships.
- Apply knowledge of company processes, infrastructure, policies, and resources to plan, commit, and meet customer objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of program management experience.
- Solid leadership and management skills.
- Experience throughout the program lifecycle, from development through sustainment.
- Understanding of lean and process improvement principles.
- Working understanding of earned value principles.
- Strong communication skills and a proven track record of exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Ability to provide leadership across cross-functional teams.
- Successful track record in managing complex programs as a prime or subcontractor.
- Demonstrated success in managing manpower planning, project reviews, scheduling, and budget control.
- Experience with metrics for assessing and reporting program progress, productivity, and variance analysis.
- ISO 13485 Standard experience.
- PMP certification is preferred.
