Job Description: Part-Time Accounts Payable Support (Billing/ Invoicing and Accounts Payable)

Schedule:

  • Flexible work schedule: 2-3 days per week (8 hours per day) or 5 days per week (half-days)

  • Part-time hours 24-25 hours per week

  • Minimum 6-week assignment

  • Start ASAP

  • Location: downtown Highland Park

  • Pay: Up to $28 depending on experience

  • Direct start – the best candidate will be selected and begin immediately

Position Overview: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our Accounting Department as a Part-Time Accounts Payable Support, assisting the Billing Department. This position is responsible for processing invoices and utility bills using internal software. The ideal candidate will have experience with accounts payable processes and possess strong organizational skills. Training will be provided on the internal software, and flexibility in the work schedule is offered.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and enter utility bills and invoices into the internal portal

  • Assist with residential leasing billing tasks

  • Collaborate with the Accounting and Billing teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of all accounts payable entries

  • Use Office 365 to assist with document management and communication

  • Provide general support to the Billing Department as needed

Job Requirements:

  • Familiarity with accounts payable (AP) processes

  • Experience with invoicing, utility bill entry, and general office administration

  • Comfortable using Office 365 and other basic software tools

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative

  • Willingness to be trained on internal software (prior experience with software portals is a plus)

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • We are looking for someone who is dependable, eager to learn, and can start immediately.
