Shipping & SCM Analyst    Direct Hire Opportunity

Overview:

We are seeking a Shipping & SCM (Supply Chain Management) Analyst to oversee material flow monitoring, inventory management, and various logistics functions. The analyst will ensure efficient shipment preparation, delivery, and customer service support while maintaining close coordination with other units such as TAC Warehouse and Accounting.

General Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Material Flow Monitoring and Inventory Management:

  • Monitor EDI releases, manual releases, and PO’s.

  • Manage DELFOR data download, validation, and updates.

  • Report and follow-up on material requirements to HQ.

  • Track in-transit materials and coordinate container deliveries.

  • Issue POs and monitor inbound-outbound deliveries with sub-suppliers.

  • Control material requirement changes and manage material breakpoints.

  • Coordinate and report material delivery discrepancies.

2. Material Engineering Monitoring and Control:

  • Respond to engineering issues and monitor manufacturing concerns.

  • Control test reports and track new parts.

  • Manage material technical details including part registration and ship-to codes.

3. Shipment Preparation and Delivery:

  • Prepare regular and expedite shipments.

  • Print regular/special labels and prepare commercial invoices for customers outside the US.

  • Arrange special labels, BOLs, and pick-up arrangements for warehouse staff.

  • Submit ASNs.

4. Logistics:

  • Confirm and coordinate customer pick-ups and milk-run schedules.

  • Set up online shipments with carriers (Central Transport, USF Holland, FedEx, UPS, EL Hollingsworth).

  • Address issues with dispatch teams (delays, rescue trucks, etc.).

  • Schedule pick-ups and deliveries with forwarders.

5. Customer Service and Support:

  • Confirm POs and orders.

  • Coordinate expedite shipment requests and manage past dues/under shipments.

  • Facilitate customer requests (e.g., Country of Origin Affidavit, NAFTA Certificates).

  • Resolve shipping and delivery issues.

  • Use customer applications for request updates and confirmations.

  • Monitor customer ratings and respond to ASNs and label compliance issues.

6. Other Duties:

  • Track and investigate customer debits and RDR disputes.

  • Monitor and report invoice discrepancies with HQ.

  • Check sub-supplier invoices and file shipping documents.

  • Report and follow-up on hot items, air shipments, and delivery issues with HQ.

  • Prepare SCM-related documentation and attend meetings/conferences.

  • Track and monitor bulletins.

Qualifications:

  • Education and/or experience in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Proficiency with relevant software and SCM tools.

Hours:  8 am to 5 pm
Salary: $65,000-$70,000 depending on experience
