Job Overview:
The Machine Operator will perform a variety of machine operations, material handling, quality checks, and general maintenance for the company’s snowplow and ice control product lines within the Profiling/Fabrication/Rotomold and Machine Shop departments. The operator will communicate with other departments daily and may periodically work overtime and/or alternate shifts to meet production demands. This role is essential in maintaining safety, quality, and delivery standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operations of equipment and identify and correct problems as they occur.
- Conduct test cycles and quality audits to maintain accuracy and quality.
- Maintain safety, quality, and throughput as required.
- Perform timely upkeep of equipment and programs.
- Communicate daily with other departments/shifts.
- Keep work area, tools, materials, and equipment clean and orderly.
- Work in a safe manner and report unsafe conditions as necessary.
- Periodically operate a powered industrial truck to assist in material handling.
- Track use of consumables and record production data daily.
- Execute other duties as assigned.
- Operate equipment in assigned business unit, with progression to Operator II and III roles available.

Qualifications:
- Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED preferred but not required. 1-3 years of experience or training preferred.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and perform geometric, algebraic, and trigonometric calculations.
- Blueprint Reading: Must be able to read and understand blueprints and specifications.
- Technology/Equipment: Computer literacy required.
- Licenses/Certificates: None required.
