Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking Sample Management Technician for a 24 month contract position at a Global BioPharmaceutical client in Barceloneta, Puerto Rico. Overview
This client is Global Biopharmaceutical company whose mission is to discover, develop and deliver innovative medicines that help patients prevail over serious diseases.
In this role you’ll be responsible for performs a role within the quality control area which oversees handling samples from the arrival at the laboratory up to its disposition. Is responsible f organizing and maintaining the current organization of samples, freezer, refrigerators and cold rooms, maintaining and assuring sample integrity.

Schedule: 1,2,3 shift
Responsibilities:
- Will manage laboratory systems and other tools as required.
- Will handle multiple priorities and deliver tasks/projects in a timely manner.
- Prepare all required documentation for sample shipments to Out Site labs Pre-shipments.
- Organize of sample inventory and verification of all required documentation, ensuring compliance with local procedures and regulatory requirements. This will include the handling of materials used within the sample management program samples in the long-term storage reserve , in process samples and reference standards use for testing .
- Identify areas of improvements in procedures vs practices and align accordingly.
- Perform 5S audits and internal audits in the laboratory, recognizing areas for improvement and making sure the laboratory complies in every moment.
- Documentation of required forms to retrieve equipment from the alarm reporting system, thus accelerating the process of the equipment repairs.
- Receive and stored laboratory materials following EHS recommendations and regulations of EPA.
- Organize and maintain the laboratory freezers, refrigerators, and incubators. Responsible for the reconciliation of samples to be discarded following company procedures.
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in science preferred.
- Two 2 years of experience in similar role in Bio-Pharma industry preferred.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, English and Spanish.
- Computer knowledge such as Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, etc.
- LIMS System experience is preferred
