Job details

We are seeking motivated individuals for the position of Internal Logistics Support, primarily focused on receiving and material handling. This role will involve supporting the Receiving area by unloading trucks and managing the material flow from receiving to the final point of use. The position is based in a parts warehouse that is in the process of moving to Newington, CT.

Location: Newington, CT
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Overtime potential)
Pay: $19/hour
Position Type: Long-term temporary (up to 1 year)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload the Campus truck accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Check paperwork and prepare building labels as necessary.

  • Process Goods Receipts in SAP for inbound shipments.

  • Pull parts from storage areas and deliver them to assembly areas using transport carts, pallet jacks, or forklifts.

  • Record stock transactions such as receiving parts into stock, issuing parts to production orders, and adjusting stock counts in SAP using PCs or barcode scanners.

  • Count all parts that go in and out of stock accurately.

  • Unpack packages and stock parts on storage shelves.

  • Fill transport carts and deliver to work centers safely and efficiently.

  • Implement 5S workplace organization in storage areas.

  • Work independently with minimal supervision, recognizing potential problems and addressing them effectively.

  • Stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods, lifting a minimum of 50 pounds without assistance.

  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and good communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a strong work ethic, including excellent attendance and punctuality.

  • Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing is preferred.

  • Organized with paperwork and previous computerized shipping experience is a plus; familiarity with SAP is beneficial.

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly and stand for long periods on a concrete floor.

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
