Our client, a prestigious employer in the University Circle area, is seeking a Department Assistant to join their Health Services Department.
Pay Rate: $20 per hour
Position Overview: This role will involve administrative responsibilities to support clinical services. The Department Assistant will provide professional support to all departmental faculty and staff while delivering exceptional customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Essential Functions:

Perform a variety of clerical front desk duties in coordination with clinical staff. Act as the department’s first point of contact for greeting visitors, scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, messaging, and checking in students at University Health and Counseling Services. This includes maintaining the flow of the waiting room in collaboration with clinical staff and entering information into registration, scheduling, and chart modules (as needed) in the Electronic Health Record. Department Assistants will be required to rotate among all UH&CS locations. (60%)

Oversee general administrative operations in assigned locations, ensuring an organized and clean workspace. Report any facility issues to Facilities Management or the Associate Director of Business Operations. Keep signage and informational materials current, and order supplies as directed by the operations leadership team. (5%)
External Contacts:
- Frequent communication with parents and community support for information exchange.
- Regular contact with vendors for ordering supplies and equipment repairs.
- Daily interactions with students, faculty, and staff while providing services.
Experience: 3 to 5 years of related experience.
Education: High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
