  • Contract to Direct: Full time opportunity in Norco, LA for an experienced Maintenance Technician/Mechanic.
    Must have:
    Experience within an Industrial Setting – at least 1 year of experience
    Mechanical experience – at least 1 year of experience
    Maintenance & troubleshooting background
    Electrical experience would be a huge plus
    This will be a swing shift between 1st and 2nd shift:
    3 days on – 2 days off – 4 days on (12 hour shifts)
    5am – 5p
    Valid TWIC card required
    $25 is max rate.
    HS Diploma required



    **Operate, monitor, and optimize industrial equipment performance. Troubleshoot and preform preventative maintenance on a variety of systems and equipment.
    **Perform analytical testing such as: turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC, in addition to various other site-specific testing requirements
    **Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and
    replacement parts. Create and maintain site paperwork, and provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed
    **Carry out mechanical, electrical and controls troubleshooting on equipment such as valves, air compressors, ejectors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentation
    **Partner with customer management and operation teams to help advise on system performance, maintenance, and troubleshooting
    **Other duties as required.
    Core Requirements:
    **High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification OR international
    equivalent and 2+ years’ experience of service/maintenance or equivalent in an industrial environment
    OR
    **Bachelor or Associates Degree in Science/Engineering (STEM) or technical certificate in Instrumentation, Controls or programming and/or water treatment
    equipment including UF/MBR Working experience with PLC control systems, PLC programming and troubleshooting is preferred

  • 2 years of electrical, plant-site or maintenance experience.

  • Engineering Degree or 2 years of technical training (college, military, technical/vocational
    school).

  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills.

  • Customer service and results oriented.

  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen. 

  • Team player, hands-on, self-motivated.

  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

  • Familiarity with water treatment processing. 

  • Ability to read and interpret instruction manuals, safety manuals, etc.

  • Mathematical skills, including math operations in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, ratio and percentages 18 years of age or older. 

  • Willing to submit to a background investigation (Motor vehicle record, criminal, education
    and prior employment), physical evaluation and drug screen.

  • Possess unrestricted authorization to work in country of posting.

  • The candidate must be willing to work independently (after proper training) and be a self-starter.  

  • Ability and willingness to work in range of environments to include but not limited to refineries, industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities. 

  • Must be willing to work in heavy industrial settings (steel/refining etc)

  • Technical Training/Education highly preferred.

  • Familiarity with water treatment processes and applications.
