Job Title: Test Operator I
Pay Rate: $16.50hr
Shift: 1st shift 7am – 3:30pm
Duration: Temp to Hire
 
Test Operator I
Summary:
The Test Operator I is responsible for conducting product testing using specific test fixtures, tools, and procedures. This position reports directly to the Production Supervisor and plays a key role in ensuring product quality and compliance with standards.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspection, product-specific test setup, and operation to ensure product meets quality standards.

  • Follow detailed test procedures and guidelines for product testing.

  • Enter test results into the quality system, interpret diagnostic data, and label products appropriately for the next process stage.

  • Identify and report defective components promptly.

  • Assemble and/or program circuit board assemblies as required by production needs.

  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of work-in-progress within the assigned work cell.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and surrounding workspace.

  • Actively participate in Quality team meetings and initiatives, as required.

  • Adhere to all applicable ISO and job-specific procedures, ensuring compliance with company standards.

  • Maintain ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) integrity within the production environment.

  • Train other employees as needed to maintain team competency.

  • Undertake additional responsibilities as directed to support business needs.

 
Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education required.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in electronics testing, preferably in a test environment.

  • Knowledge of PCB assembly, product assembly processes, component value identification, and component nomenclature.

  • Ability to perform tasks using written procedures, verbal instructions, and visual aids.

  • Basic computer proficiency, problem-solving skills, and workstation operations.

  • Effective multitasking capabilities in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

  • Flexibility to work varied hours based on business needs.

  • Familiarity with ISO9001 standards and processes.

  • Must meet the requirements of “U.S. Person” as defined in 22 CFR Part 120.15 due to ITAR-controlled technical data handling.
