Pay Rate: $28.85 per hour
Length: Through May 2025 with a possibility for an extension

What’s a typical day as a Financial Aid Advisor? You’ll be:

  • Disseminating financial aid information to students, parents, high school counselors, and external agencies

  • Assisting in the development and marketing of college-wide recruitment and financial aid information

  • Providing accurate information and procedural instructions for completing the FAFSA

  • Reviewing applications, determining eligibility for awards, and ensuring compliance with aid regulations

  • Utilizing professional judgment to address discrepancies or inconsistencies in financial aid applications

  • Advising students and parents on alternative sources of financial aid

  • Maintaining confidentiality of student records and ensuring accurate disbursement of financial aid funds

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree

  • Have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in financial aid

  • Possess knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding financial aid

  • Have strong skills in advising students and parents on financial aid and scholarship programs

  • Excel in verbal and written communication

  • Can work effectively in a fast-paced office under pressure

  • Are an effective team member
