What’s a typical day as Claims Examiner – Worker’s Compensation? You’ll be:
• Managing a desk of 130 files for North and South Carolina, focusing on lost time and litigated claims, ensuring thorough investigations and medical management.
• Analyzing complex workers’ compensation claims to determine benefits due, while ensuring compliance with state laws and regulations.
• Communicating effectively with clients, claimants, providers, and attorneys to facilitate timely claim resolutions and maintain professional relationships.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have 3 or more years of experience handling workers’ compensation claims, with a valid/current WC or All-lines license in NC and SC.
• Possess strong analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills, along with excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (preferred) and have a solid understanding of insurance principles and laws related to workers’ compensation.
