Position onsite in West Point, PA

Fully support the R&D Finance team by proficiently applying financial planning and accounting principle knowledge at a high level, consisting of: e.g. budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning activities for clinical trials and pharmaceutical development pipeline. Assist with MRL Trade VCP calculations.

Selected Responsibilities:

  • As a critical requirement in this role, must demonstrate an expert level of proficiency and programming with MS Excel.? On a routine basis, must be able to create pivot tables, and utilize functions (i.e.: VLOOKUP, concatenation, if/then) within the application. • Responsible for building and maintaining MS Excel models using pivot tables to project costs for distribution and warehousing, 3rd party packaging, 3rd party labeling, and drug costs to develop budget forecasts.

  • Must be able to fully utilize SAP for financial analysis of R&D programs (investigational drug) and trial costs to accurately maintain and update rolling forecast and profit plan. Prepare a plan for submission of the annual Profit Plan.

  • Develop metrics via Excel models to analyze resource allocations and forecasts for use by managers within the department.

  • Must be able to precisely enter/upload results into SAP and upload supporting information into a Midas data repository using consistent nomenclature and formatting.

  • Perform KPI analysis and present metric results to the global clinical supplies management team

  • Must be able to utilize tools to obtain purchase prices for investigational drugs. Must understand SAP BOM structures and functionality for examining and valuing clinical material.

  • Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)

 Additional Responsibilities May Include:

  • Management of Blanket Purchase Orders: Efficiently handle blanket purchase orders in the context of intricate service agreements, ensuring seamless operations and adherence to contractual obligations.

  • Cross-functional collaboration: Leverage a broad spectrum of tools and technologies in partnership with various organizational functions to enhance and streamline existing processes. This requires a proactive approach to collaboration and innovation.

  • High-Volume Transaction Management: Demonstrate a strong capacity to manage substantial volumes of transactional duties, characterized by a high level of comfort and proficiency in executing requests and processing orders efficiently.

  • Cost-Effective Purchasing Decisions: Employ strategic decision-making skills to ensure purchases are cost-effective, balancing the quest for cost savings with the necessity to maintain adequate inventory levels. This entails a keen eye for opportunities to optimize expenses without compromising on supply needs.

  • Advanced Systems Proficiency: Exhibit comprehensive knowledge and expertise in critical software tools, including Power BI, Power Automate, and Qliksense, to facilitate data-driven decision-making and process automation.

  • The role demands a blend of strategic thinking, operational efficiency, and technical acumen, along with a commitment to continuous improvement and cross-departmental collaboration.

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience

  • Experience in clinical development and/or clinical supplies.

  • Experience with clinical trials.

  • Prior supply chain, logistics, or operations knowledge

  • Detail-oriented

  • Proven organizational skills

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and tactfully and to interact with different professional levels

  • Highly effective interpersonal skills and professional values necessary for effective teamwork

  • APICs certification or Supply Chain knowledge (JDE, SAP, etc.) is preferred

  • Familiarity with MS Access is preferred
