Our client, a leading Volvo Construction Equipment dealer, is looking for a Heavy Equipment Field Shop Technician to join our team in Cayce, SC. **MUST have experience repairing and maintaining Volvo construction equipment**

Pay Rate: $25-38/HR
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30AM-4PM
Duration: Permanent position with benefits
Location: Cayce, SC

What’s a typical day as a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician? You’ll be:
• Traveling to construction sites and maintaining and/or repairing large heavy construction equipment including mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and other systems on a variety of equipment. Using various methods and tools to diagnose and perform repair work to customer satisfaction.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all safety training, product training, and service department goals.
• Complete assigned work with minimum re-work.
• Properly and safely use Ascendum owned tools and service equipment.
• Order parts and materials through Ascendum Parts to complete work assignments.
• Ensure all company safety requirements are followed at all times.
• Complete all required paperwork and maintain records/photos/other materials as required, for example, time clocking or collection records, SOC reports.
• Complete all DOT requirements, including physical, medical card and safety regulations.
• Respond positively to other duties that may be assigned in the scope of the job.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have trade school completion in an appropriate field.
• Have knowledge of safe job practices & regulations related to OSHA, and/or MSHA
• Possess mechanical knowledge of tools and mechanical work for repairing equipment.
• Have above-average knowledge of hydraulics, electronics, diesel engines.
• Have a customer orientation toward service and building relationships.
• Are compatible with working branch hours and extended days as needed.
• Possess your own set of tools for repairing equipment.
