Now Hiring: Retail Associate at a Floral Shop in Honolulu!
Position: Guest Service Associate (Floor and/or Phone Center)
Location: Honolulu, HI
Department: Nimitz Sales
Schedule: Monday through Saturday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (Sunday and one scheduled weekday off) – A total of two days off per week.
Pay Rate: Starting at $17/hour

Join a team that embodies the Spirit of Aloha! Kelly Services is seeking three enthusiastic Guest Service Associates to provide exceptional customer service at a premier floral shop. This client-facing role requires collaboration, flexibility, and a passion for continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service Excellence:
- Engage with guests to understand their needs and provide tailored product suggestions with warmth and enthusiasm.
- Resolve guest concerns promptly, ensuring satisfaction.
Cashiering & Sales Support:
- Operate computer terminals to process sales orders, payments, and website orders accurately.
- Ensure all merchandise is inspected, wrapped, and ready for guests.
Communication Management:
- Answer incoming calls, emails, texts, and chat messages promptly, ensuring all inquiries are addressed within two hours or before the end of the shift.
Operational Efficiency:
- Maintain accurate sales and merchandise records.
- Assist in the assembly and fulfillment of orders for food, gifts, and floral merchandise.
Routine Tasks:
- Perform daily follow-up calls to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Conduct weekly and monthly inventory checks for food, balloons, plush, and greeting cards.
Support Responsibilities:
- Actively solicit new business by reaching out to existing and prospective customers.
- Maintain and update the customer database for accurate records.
- Display and arrange floral merchandise and maintain a neat and presentable sales floor.
- Care for potted plants and assist with general store maintenance, including the parking lot.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1-3 months of related experience or equivalent education and training preferred.
Skills:
- Must be proficient with computers and point-of-sale systems.
- Willingness to learn about plants and flowers is essential.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to read, write, and interpret documents and correspondences.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
Professional Conduct & Physical Requirements:
- Collaborative, team-player attitude with a willingness to help others.
- Professional appearance is mandatory—no face tattoos, facial piercings, and tattoos on arms must be covered by sleeves.
- Must be comfortable walking and standing for extended periods and able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Comfortable working in temperatures as low as 32°F.
- Background check (BG) and 5-panel drug test (DT) required.
