Job details

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer for a hands-on design and implementation of 4160 electrical systems for industrial manufacturing equipment. Controls knowledge is helpful but not required as. This newly created role will work as the sole Engineer for ongoing design projects both locally to Georgia and a new facility in SC (travel up to 25%)

The successful candidate is an experienced engineer who can take ownership of projects and see them through from kick-off to completion including hands-on design and direct communications with vendors for both in-house and an out of state facility. Experience with equipment selection and working with utilities is highly desired.

The ideal engineer for this position has experience with:
 

  • Medium to Large scale power projects (industrial furnace power control systems desired or similar)

  • Familiar with AC/DC conversion, Utilities, Single lines.

  • Understanding of hazardous classifications

  • Medium to High voltage power distribution and equipment

  • Designs requiring and specification of substations, ANSI switchgear, and motor control centers

  • NEC and NESC standards

  • Coordination with utility providers for establishing new electrical primary services

  • Project management from kickoff to completion, to include design, coordination between multiple disciples, and construction administration

Requirements of the Position:
 

  • 5+ years’ experience in an EPC related industrial design environment preferably

  • Knowledge of DCS systems

  • Solid use of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or greater

  • Strong technical skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Serve as a hands-on engineer with floor personnel
