Procurement Manager 
Direct Hire Opportunity
If you are ready to work with a growing company on exciting projects at an industry leader than Kelly Services has an opportunity for you as a Procurement Manager, in Houston, TX. Our client is looking for a qualified candidate who has experience overseeing and managing Procurement and Supply Chain/Logistics Operations across the country.   

This role will pay $125-$130K annually and will be 100% remote till Quarter 2 and will be expected to go into the Houston Office.   

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to maintain cost-effective purchasing and inventory levels.

  • Identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate contracts to secure the best possible procurement terms.

  • Monitor and manage supplier performance to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and provide support for planning and budgeting purposes.

  • Conduct market research to keep abreast of industry trends and identify opportunities for cost savings.

  • Manage the procurement process, including preparing and issuing purchase orders, tracking orders, and ensuring timely delivery.

  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to orders, deliveries, or payments.

  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and supplier information.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.

Requirements and Education:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management OR Mechanical Engineering is required. 

  • Must have 5-10 years of experience in a Procurement role.

  • Able to perform procedures according to written guidelines and recognize a deviation from accepted practice.

  • Must have strong communication skills, both written and oral, facilitation, and presentation skills.

  • Must be proficient with utilizing SAP.

  • Able to clearly communicate problems and observations with management from other departments.

  • Must come from Oil & Gas or Wastewater Industry.
