Job details

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Label Coordinator to join our Production team. This role is critical in ensuring our department meets its objectives of delivering high-quality goods and services to our customers in a timely manner. The Label Coordinator will be responsible for label entry, production support, and maintaining compliance with our Quality System and established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
 

  • Label Coordinator

  • Location, Lake Zurich, IL

  • Hours: The hours are flexible, but expected that this person should start between 7am and 9am. 8 hour shift and a 30 minute paid lunch break.

  • Pay range: $20.00 – $29.00/hour

  • Start date: Immediately. We are still focused on finding the right fit instead of just a body to fill the position.

  • Contract to hire

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to the Quality System, including all applicable SOPs as outlined in the Training Matrix.

  • Prepare and maintain the production station by organizing and cleaning as needed.

  • Follow written work instructions and manufacturing processes to produce accurate labels.

  • Produce labels for all manufacturing-related activities in accordance with SOPs and business practices, ensuring label count and usage accuracy.

  • Complete and accurately fill out Label History Reports (LHRs) or forms supporting manufacturing activities.

  • Create labels to support new customer initiatives.

  • Collaborate with outside vendors to ensure compliance with established labeling SOPs.

  • Create and maintain part numbers with proper revision control within the ERP system.

  • Utilize the ERP system for accurate revision control of all parts in the inventory cage.

  • Notify supervisors of any issues or unexpected non-conformances and advise on equipment repairs as necessary.

  • Maintain awareness of defect impacts on product quality and communicate defects promptly to supervisors and engineers.

  • Work independently and complete assignments accurately and on time.

  • Be available to work overtime as needed.

  • Assist in other work-related areas as required.

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of part numbers and revision levels.

MUST

  • Comfortable working on a computer and troubleshooting issues with a printer

  • Previous experience creating labels

  • Read, write, speak, and understand English

Nice to have

  • Experience with Epicor (ERP system)

  • Experience with inventory and purchasing

  • Experience within a manufacturing environment

  • Preferred production experience.

  • Experience with data entry and label generation.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems.

  • Proficient in using various software programs for graphics or label creation.
