CNC Machine Operator

Onsite in Minden, NV

Monday-Friday 6AM-2:30PM with OT as needed

$17.00-$20.00/HR- DOE Temp to Hire!

JOB SUMMARY:

Produces machined parts by setting up and operating computer numerical (CNC) and manual machines while maintaining quality and safety standard

PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Pays attention to machine detail and inspects every tenth part

  • Multitasks throughout the shift, run multiple machines

  • Completely fill out control sheets and other quality control documents

  • De-burring of parts until all sharp edges are gone

  • Reject non-conforming product

  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to all safety procedures and regulations

  • Check parts for non-conformances using precision measuring equipment

  • Communicate effectively between other operators and shift

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Make adjustments to offsets as needed to maintain quality parts

  • Check and maintain coolant levels on machines

  • Check and maintain oil levels on machines

  • Check inserts for wear and maintain good cutting edges

  • Adhere to the 5S program

  • Maintain a clean work environment

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND HAZARDS:

  • One-year experience in general labor and machining

  • Knowledge of tooling and jaws

  • Knowledge on how to use measuring equipment

  • Must be able to follow instructions

  • Must be able to work all shifts

  • Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds

  • Must be able to work in other departments as needed
