Kelly Engineering is seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer for our client in Aurora, OH. Our client is growing and is seeking additional engineers to drive product quality through hands-on leadership, innovative inspection techniques, and cross-departmental collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily hands-on inspection tasks, including in-process, receiving, and final inspections.

  • Communicate quality standards to employees and coordinate activities within Quality Assurance and other departments to meet customer delivery requirements.

  • Handle customer-facing responsibilities, including non-conformance reviews, root cause analysis, and corrective action documentation.

  • Analyze complaint data to identify trends and initiate corrective actions.

  • Evaluate and approve raw materials and finished products through visual and measurement verifications.

  • Select, procure, calibrate, maintain, and train staff on gages and inspection equipment.

  • Develop Control/Inspection Plans, SOPs, and Work Instructions.

  • Support the development of the quality management system and contribute to obtaining ISO9001 certification.

  • Conduct audits at both internal and supplier levels.

  • Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic preferred) with 2 years of quality-related experience, or 5 years of quality-related experience.

  • Knowledge of Six Sigma tools.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and proficiency in data analysis.

Preferred Skills:

  • ASQ CQE Certification.

  • Electrical assembly experience.

  • Excellent documentation skills.

  • Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., Minitab).

  • Experience in an ISO 9001:2015 manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge of Quality PPAP, ISO/TS, and Advanced Product Quality Planning.
