Kelly Engineering is seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer for our client in Aurora, OH. Our client is growing and is seeking additional engineers to drive product quality through hands-on leadership, innovative inspection techniques, and cross-departmental collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily hands-on inspection tasks, including in-process, receiving, and final inspections.
- Communicate quality standards to employees and coordinate activities within Quality Assurance and other departments to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Handle customer-facing responsibilities, including non-conformance reviews, root cause analysis, and corrective action documentation.
- Analyze complaint data to identify trends and initiate corrective actions.
- Evaluate and approve raw materials and finished products through visual and measurement verifications.
- Select, procure, calibrate, maintain, and train staff on gages and inspection equipment.
- Develop Control/Inspection Plans, SOPs, and Work Instructions.
- Support the development of the quality management system and contribute to obtaining ISO9001 certification.
- Conduct audits at both internal and supplier levels.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic preferred) with 2 years of quality-related experience, or 5 years of quality-related experience.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and proficiency in data analysis.
Preferred Skills:
- ASQ CQE Certification.
- Electrical assembly experience.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., Minitab).
- Experience in an ISO 9001:2015 manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Quality PPAP, ISO/TS, and Advanced Product Quality Planning.
