Job Posting: Accounting Clerk (Temp Assignment)

Location: Central Pacific Plaza – 220 South King St., Honolulu, HI
Status: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (In-office)
Pay Rate: $25.80/hour 
Start Date: ASAP
Assignment Length: 3 months (subject to business needs)
Parking: Not provided


Primary Accountabilities:

  • Accounts Payable Processing:
    Process disbursements using AP software, ensuring accuracy, proper authorization, policy compliance, and timely payments. Post general ledger entries accurately.

  • Subsidiary Ledger Maintenance:
    Maintain and reconcile ledgers related to accounts payable (e.g., accrued expenses). Ensure transactions align with the general ledger and prepare necessary entries for amortization and accruals.

  • Data Management & Reporting:
    Respond to inquiries regarding disbursements and transactions. Maintain accurate records and prepare IRS reports (e.g., Form 1099-MISC).

  • Support Functions:

    • Assist auditors and examiners with documentation requests.

    • Support AP Clerk and other teams in completing or reconciling priority tasks.

    • Help prepare year-end reports.

    • Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives.


  • Vendor Invoice Management:
    Receive and load vendor invoices into AP software, ensuring accurate GL account and cost center allocation. Route for managerial approval.

  • Corporate Card & Reimbursement Processing:
    Process entries for corporate cards, travel expenses, and reimbursements. Verify proper approvals and documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required (Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred).

  • 3+ years of accounts payable/accounts receivable experience.
