Position: Project Team Member (Tester)
Fully remote. Applicants must reside in California or a state within the Pacific Time Zone (PST).
Hours: Full-Time (Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST 
Pay: Depending on experience up to $30 an hour.

Client is a family-owned software development company specializing in state-of-the-art transportation solutions. Our systems are used by Departments of Transportation across North America to manage and permit oversize and overweight truck loads. 
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Team Member (Tester) to join our quality assurance team. In this role, you will test software to ensure it meets the highest standards of performance, functionality, and user experience before deployment. This position involves:

  • Writing and executing test scripts for large and complex web applications.

  • Conducting manual tests to identify and resolve issues.

  • Working closely with developers to ensure quality and functionality.

  • Providing excellent customer service by answering calls and assisting with client inquiries during the last few hours of your day.

Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation:
Competitive salary based on experience. up to $30 an hour.
Remote- must reside in California. Local to our office in Long Beach ( equipment pickup)

What’s a typical day as Project Team Member? You’ll be:
• Conducting manual tests to ensure software functionality and reliability before deployment, reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager.
• Writing Test Scripts for large and complex web applications and executing tests using those scripts.
• Collaborating closely with the development team to identify, document, and resolve software issues.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a willingness to learn and take on challenges, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Possess good communication and writing skills to effectively manage lists of issues and follow-up until resolution.
• Are proficient in using Word, Outlook, Excel, and navigating web and mobile sites; previous software testing experience is a plus.
 

Education:

  • Associate’s degree preferred.
