This position is fully ONSITE in Torrance, CA
Shift: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm
Pay: up to $50/hr based on experience

What will you be doing as an Electrical Vehicle Test Technician?
- Perform development, testing and internal performance-to-specification validation of company’s EVSE product line up. Additionally, competitive benchmarking of commercially available EVSEs will be performed.
- Work within company’s EVSE Laboratory Safety Procedures, the Test Technician works with Engineering personnel to prepare test apparatus, laboratory equipment, test plans and data collection to assess and document the system(s) under test. Will be working on protype items, experimental items.
- Work with Engineers to compile and report the test results in concise and easy to understand formats.
- Be responsible for organizing and maintaining data repositories for all Test Plans, Test Procedures, Equipment Calibration history and maintaining a safe and orderly workspace.
- This position supports commercialization of company’s EVSE product portfolio using state-of-the-art test equipment and collaborative vendor engagement with manufacturers of power processing and measurement systems.
- Types of lab equipment you’ll use- hand held meters, high and low voltage, power quality equipment, telecommunications equipment, routers and computer equipment, noise generators
Required Skills:
- Experience in automotive industry and passion for electric vehicles
- History of working in testing/experimental environment
- Background in operating power electronics testing equipment
- Understanding of dangers of working on high voltage products-Safety processes for up to 1000 volts DC
- Knowledge of communication standards used with charging products
- Must have can-do-attitude, be proactive and willing to learn
- Computer Proficiency
- Data acquisition proficiency
- Ability to collect, preserve, store large volumes of data in server or laptop environment
- Organize data
- Ability to work with international technicians
