Job description:

Operations IT/OT Engineering Project Representative
Role Summary/Purpose

  • The Operations IT/OT Engineering Project Representative is responsible for:

  • Serving as Front End Loading Focal Point for the Project Information Manager team.  Provide FEL consulting and coordinate FEL deliverables

  • Applying knowledge of Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools and best practices to lead, promote, and organize effective project execution for capital engineering projects for Dow global businesses.

  • Developing and implementing Project Information Management Strategy and Plans, applying knowledge of Information Management and communication best practices to project information and data, contributing to overall project success.

  • Coordinating identification and resolution of project execution issues associated with Dow engineering

  • software tools.

  • Representing the needs of the Capital Project Team to the Dow Operations IT/OT department, that supports Dow engineering software tools.

  • Identifying and initiating improvement opportunities associated with Dow engineering software tools and project information management.

Desired Skills:

Must have:

  • Education / Certifications: Preferred Technical or University Degree in Engineering or equivalent work

  • experience.

  • Minimum 5 years Engineering Design experience and working knowledge of the lifecycle of a project

  • Knowledge of Project Engineering work processes

  • Demonstrated Leadership and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong computer / IT skills – including knowledge of CAE tools commonly used in the industry

  • Willing to do limited travel

Favourable:

  • Experience working with an Engineering/Procurement/Construction (EPC) Contractor executing

  • capital projects.

  • Knowledge and experience supporting the software tools and work processes used by Civil, Electrical, Instrument, Mechanical, Piping, Process, Structural, and Project Control disciplines on a chemical industry project.

Examples:

  • Smart Plant P&ID, Smart Plant 3D, Aspen Plus, Micro Station

  • Project Engineering background

  • Document Management Experience

  • Experience in working with a multi-cultural project team
