Kelly is hiring a Taste Regulatory Specialist for one of our food manufacturing clients 

  • Pay: $35-50/hr

  • M-F 9am-5pm

  • Remote 

  • 1.5 year contract

Description:
Regulatory Specialist for Taste
The Taste Regulatory Specialist serves as a regulatory and technical compliance expert, providing specialized knowledge in interpreting and evaluating regulations, industry standards, and customer requirements related to flavor and food ingredients.

Key Responsibilities:
-Organizes and assesses documentation from customers, suppliers and co-manufacturers, identifying deficiencies and recommending corrective actions. Evaluates raw materials, product formulas, safety data sheets (SDSs), labels, claims, advertising, and other components to enable proactive, risk-based decisions and ensure speed, competitiveness, and regulatory compliance.
-Supports product positioning and conducts compliance reviews of labels, technical specifications, SDSs, claims, and substantiation to facilitate the development and commercialization of new and existing products.
-Serves as a regulatory expert for internal stakeholders, including Sales, Commercial, Supply Chain, Quality, Procurement, and Research & Development teams. Actively listens and effectively shares information to ensure critical details are clearly communicated and understood across teams.
– Utilizes Kerry systems to review and update specifications, remaining familiar with product lifecycle management.

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Nutrition, or a related field, or 3-6 years of relevant regulatory experience, preferably in flavors used in food and fragrance applications. Demonstrates a collaborative approach to working with peers and leadership, with proven ability to prepare presentations, and deliver clear, concise briefings for regulatory and business partners, all while fostering a positive, team-oriented environment. Detail-oriented, with a customer-focused attitude; demonstrates attention to detail, effective time management, the ability to work independently, strong communication skills, a problem-solving mindset, and initiative.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a foundational understanding of project management principles.
Flexibility to work varying hours and travel as needed.
