Kelly Engineering currently has an exciting long-term opportunity available for an Electrical Maintenance Planner in Orange, Texas!
The Electrical Maintenance Planner is a person experienced in ‘Do Maintenance’ who has the skills and knowledge to create a job package from the work order scope. The job package contains all information about required labor material and services to ensure safe, effective and efficient execution of the work.
Key job responsibilities include:
- Streamlines plans to safety and effectively perform repairs
- Creates job packages with all the necessary documents as determined by Best Practice
- Uses good verbal and written communications skills
- Identifies opportunities for planning optimization
- Prepares job package and inputs plan into Global Engineering and Maintenance Tracking System SAP indicating the required resources, materials, and services.
- Identifies task activities necessary to execute job plan and identifies materials/tools/equipment required to perform tasks.
- Identifies/solicits safety information and requirements necessary to safely perform tasks.
- Supports Maintenance Procedure Use Policy by ensuring all job packages include a procedure or the task is on the Procedure Exemption list before the job package is released. Checks that all Maintenance Procedures include a hazard assessment.
- Make field visits when needed to complete job plans.
- Use Quality Feedback from “Do work” person to optimize/archive job plans.
- Identify task activities necessary to execute job plan.
- Record tasks and information within the work order.
- Make cost a consideration in planning.
- Complete all required training for department
Requirements for Qualification:
- High School Graduate or GED
- Good interpersonal skills are required, both written and verbal
- Prior planning experience a plus; work will be in an industrial / chemical plant environment
- Electrical background required – high voltage experience preferred!
- Strong computer skills a plus – SAP experience preferred
