We are hiring for Building Permanent Substitute Teachers for Danbury Public Schools! No previous experience is required!

This season presents the ideal opportunity to for building permanent substitute teachers! With a consistent five-day work week, you will be able to get to know the school layout, staff and students. Substitute teachers may also be referred to as substitute educator, guest teacher, or relief teacher.

Minimum requirements:

Substitute Teacher – Bachelors Degree OR ED174 Waiver – Must be in junior or senior year of college in approved education degree program. District will also consider talent from overseas with a bachelor’s in teaching or talent that has classroom experience but does not have a degree evaluation yet.

Responsibilities:

  • Assume duties of the district employee in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies

  • Empower students to learn, and encourage classroom participation

  • For long-term teacher assignments, it may be required to develop lessons plans, as well as build, administer, and grade tests and assignments
