Supplier /Parts Coordinator (Huger, SC)
Our client in Steel is seeking a Parts, Supplies and Equipment coordinator at its Huger, SC manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for scheduling and tracking all tasks executed by the Maintenance Department, including allocation and inventory management of spare parts, materials for projects, consumables, lubricants, and outside services, as well as any other information needed to ensure that the maintenance activity is executed in a safe, efficient and effective manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Forecasting parts needs and ordering parts to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Monitoring the current parts inventory.
Pricing parts to maintain profitability.
Receiving parts, including placing them into inventory and properly labeling them.
Helping internal customers find and purchase the correct parts.
Overseeing special project parts and supply orders.
Collaborating with service managers to ensure all parts are available for repair jobs.
Coordinate the Maintenance Plan with the Production Plan to block time period and ensure that the maintenance is being executed in accordance with the availability of equipment agreed upon.
Generate and direct Maintenance Work Orders for all proactive maintenance.
Document notifications depending on the urgency of the service requests.
Update information about equipment specifications, complimentary information, spare parts, and maintain and manage the Maintenance Backlog, including its prioritization for planning and scheduling.
 
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma/GED Required.
Minimum 3 (Three) Years Manufacturing Production Experience, Required.
Manufacturing Environment Experience, Preferred.
MRO experience.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficient in Microsoft Office required.
Works cooperatively or independently and inspires a team effort.
Ability to communicate well in a busy work environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Highly organized with ability to multi-task.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Mathematical skills to help manage the inventory, pricing and estimates.
Problem-solving skills to deal with parts inventory issues.
Mechanical knowledge- previous mechanic or car sales experience a huge plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes loud environment.
Leadership skills to keep the parts department running smoothly.
Product knowledge to ensure parts are correctly identified and recommend.
