Medical Technologist is responsible for performing laboratory test and provide results to healthcare providers. The Medical Technologist specializes in gynecology, wellness and hormone balancing. This role will be responsible for performing phlebotomy duties and be a back-up Medical Technologist.
Job Description:
- Calibrate and verify the accuracy of laboratory equipment (analyte calibrations and linearities).
- Maintain accurate records following CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments) standards.
- Conduct routine control testing and participate in quarterly proficiency testing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology.
- Current Medical Technologist certification (ASCP preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Medical Laboratory.
- Experience with blood draws (phlebotomy). This will be main responsibility and back-up Medical Technologist.
- Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR), automated laboratory systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems with laboratory equipment.
- Experience maintaining records following CLIA standards and preparing for audits (highly desirable).
- Day shift work schedule; Part-time or Full-Time
