Kelly Engineering is seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer for our manufacturing client in Hebron, KY. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will focus on optimizing manufacturing processes, reducing costs, and enhancing product quality.

 

Key Responsibilities and Priorities:

  • Promote safety culture through toolbox talks, committee participation, and positive reinforcement programs.

  • Design and implement manufacturing processes, production flow, assembly methods, and production equipment.

  • Lead projects to support continuous improvement plans.

  • Coordinate the launch of new/revised products, set goals, train team members, and evaluate results.

  • Design or source and justify tools, machinery, and equipment for safe manufacturing methods.

  • Manage routes and the cost of manufactured products through the ERP system.

  • Conduct internal time studies and validate manufacturing processes.

  • Implement solutions to eliminate safety and quality issues.

  • Standardize best practices across sites.

  • Collaborate with quality assurance and maintenance personnel.

  • Ensure all manufacturing safety policies and procedures are followed.

  • Assist in vendor and subcontractor assessments.

  • Lead kaizen activities and participate in Gemba walks.

  • Report to management on tasks at risk of missing deadlines.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Key Candidate Qualifications:

  • Experience managing routes and the cost of manufactured products through an ERP system.

  • Demonstrated experience in the manufacturing sector.

  • Proven experience in designing machinery or equipment that supports manufacturing methods.

  • Examples of successful cost reduction through process improvement, equipment modification, or manufacturing method enhancements.

  • Ability to handle a high-demand workload, integrating a new ERP system (D365) and achieving VPP certification within the first two quarters of 2025.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Proficiency with 2D/3D CAD, Excel, and ERP programs.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Analytical and problem-solving ability.

  • Experience in project management.

  • ISO experience preferred.

  • Self-starter, detail-oriented, and organized.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong collaboration skills within cross-functional teams.
