We are seeking a skilled Aviation Technician to join our team in Dallas, Texas, working the weekend shift. If you’re passionate about aviation and looking to grow in a dynamic, people-first work environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Schedule: Thursday-Sunday, 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Job Description:
As an Aviation Technician, you will be responsible for performing inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance on aircraft engines, systems, and components, ensuring they meet safety and operational standards. Your role will be critical in maintaining the performance and safety of our aircraft.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance on aircraft engines, systems, and components, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and structural systems.
- Diagnose and repair technical issues, utilizing your expertise to formulate effective solutions.
- Conduct preventive maintenance such as lubrication, adjustments, cleaning, and part replacements.
- Collaborate with mechanics, technicians, and engineers to resolve complex aircraft issues.
- Use diagnostic equipment and technical manuals to analyze and resolve technical problems.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records in compliance with regulatory and company policies.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and safety procedures by participating in ongoing training and professional development.
- Promote safety by adhering to established safety protocols and fostering awareness among team members.
- Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory management tasks as needed.
Essential Qualifications:
- A&P Certification (required).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of an accredited aviation maintenance technician program required.
- At least 3 years of aviation technician experience (military or civilian) with proven expertise in aircraft maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
- Experience working on a variety of aircraft models is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of aircraft systems, including avionics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and powerplant systems.
- Proficient in using technical manuals, following procedures, and utilizing electronic maintenance tracking programs.
- Ability to work on-site full-time and participate in required business meetings.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on communication and collaboration.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Must have a positive attitude and passion for aviation.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying conditions, including hot, cold, dusty, or noisy environments.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel when needed (acceptable driving record and car insurance required).
