Packaging Development Lab Tech – Fueling Innovation in Food Packaging (East Hanover, NJ)
Are you a passionate and hands-on Lab Tech with a knack for problem-solving and a desire to make a real impact in the food industry?
Mondelez International is searching for a skilled and experienced Lab Technician to join our Packaging Development team in East Hanover, NJ. In this dynamic role, you will be the driving force behind our packaging innovation, ensuring our products reach consumers in the safest and most effective way possible.
You will:
- Lead the Packaging Development Lab: Manage the day-to-day operations of our East Hanover Lab and Whippany Pilot Plant, ensuring a safe, organized, and well-stocked environment.
- Conduct Packaging Testing: Perform a variety of packaging tests, analyze data, and maintain detailed records in our systems.
- Support Pilot Plant Trials: Act as the key point of contact for the Whippany Pilot Plant, coordinating activities, materials, and ensuring proper documentation and safety protocols are in place.
- Develop and Maintain Procedures: Create and update internal test methods and SOPs for all laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Champion Safety: Serve as the Packaging Safety Steward for the East Hanover Lab and Whippany Pilot Plant, ensuring safety standards are maintained and communicated to the team.
- Manage Budgets and Equipment: Plan and track the Packaging Development Lab budget, identify equipment needs, and coordinate maintenance, calibration, and training activities.
- Mentor and Guide: Provide technical guidance and expertise to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
We are looking for someone with:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a packaging development laboratory, preferably in the food industry.
- Strong technical skills and the ability to learn and execute independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- A passion for safety and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
