Our client, a chemical manufacturer, is currently hiring Several Technicians, this posting is for a Maintenance Mechanic, 3rd shift, Direct Hire. The Production Operator and Technician team here are responsible for managing complex industrial equipment, ensuring process quality, and adhering to safety standards.  They foster an inclusive, diverse workplace and offer employees extensive support, including language courses, health and wellness programs, and development opportunities to encourage professional growth.

Role will train on first shift (2-3 weeks), then switch to third shift, Monday through Friday, 10:30 PM-  6:30  AM.

The successful candidate will perform routine maintenance work according to standard methods and procedures. Non-routine maintenance work will be performed with varying degrees of supervision, dependent upon task.  Responsibility for company tools, equipment, and materials, and return of those items when work is completed is expected. Maintaining a clean work area is also expected. 

The position routinely requires work from written instructions, specifications, prints, drawings, and samples, and handling and operation of a wide variety of manufacturing plant equipment, both typical plant auxiliary equipment and specialized production machinery.  

Qualifications:
Must have broad knowledge in mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic machinery with some understanding of their controls, critical instrumentation, and electricity. 
Associates Degree, applicable trade school certification, or honorable military discharge. Advanced certification or license in a skilled trades area a plus. 
5+ years work experience on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment and basic electrical skills

This will predominantly be a third shift role, however, the right person must be willing to support other shifts as business needs permit.

Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.  Pay starts at $37.00 per hour.
