Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Research Animal Care Technician for a position at a research and development client in Saint Paul, MN. Pay Rate: $19-26/hour depending on position level and relevant experience
*This position is able to be either contract-to-hire (temp-to-permanent, ~6 month conversion) or direct-hire (permanent)

Research Animal Laboratory Technician Details:
– Shift Schedule: Sunday-Thursday 7AM-3:30 PM
– Training Schedule: ~6-8 weeks of training on Mon-Fri training schedule
– Associate Tech Level ($19-20/hour) requires AS or BA/BS and 0-2 years of relevant experience
– Lab Tech Level ($22-26/hour) requires AS or BA/BS and 2+ years of relevant experience

Research Animal Laboratory Technician Duties:
· Conducts various tests including injections, observation, and necropsies, following SOP/protocol guidelines.
· Ensures humane handling of animals.
· Prepares animals for testing by shaving, weighing, identifying, and administering anesthesia.
· Executes routine tasks following written procedures, with the ability to identify deviations.
· Works independently on routine tasks, receiving detailed instructions for new assignments.
· Receives close supervision from senior staff.
· Collaborates effectively within a team and autonomously when necessary.
· Flexibility to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
· Contributes to departmental objectives and operations.
· Ensures compliance with regulations, standards, and policies.
· Demonstrates proficiency in Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
