Quality Technician- Position Overview:
The Quality Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the food safety and quality of our products. This position is responsible for maintaining compliance with customer and regulatory standards through effective application of quality tools and systems. The successful candidate will investigate, analyze, and report findings to uphold our commitment to quality.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct all required product and batch inspections, ensuring compliance with GMP and GLP standards.

  • Perform analytical and microbiological testing, including ATP swabs, culture swabs, and thermal process checks.

  • Design, implement, and document inspection and measurement programs, train personnel on their application.

  • Coordinate with third-party inspection services and generate Certificates of Analysis (COA) for outgoing shipments.

  • Participate in new product development and process improvement teams, complete quality projects and corrective action items.

  • Utilize statistical tools and problem-solving techniques to address quality issues and document findings.

  • Maintain organized and accurate Quality Systems documentation, including inspection records and calibration processes.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Associate’s degree in Biology, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field, or five years of quality production and lab experience.

  • Certified Quality Technician (CQT) certification or significant analytical test experience is required.

  • Experience in a GFSI certified facility and HACCP certification or similar (PCQI, Better Process School) is preferred.

  • Advanced knowledge of quality measurement equipment and statistical problem-solving skills.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to train others in quality measurement, testing, and systems application.

  • Proficiency in basic computer skills, math functions, and reasoning.

  • Strong teamwork and conflict management skills.

  • Motivated with a continuous learning mindset; punctuality and dedication to quality work are essential.
