FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN/ENGINEER

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer/Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background, excellent computer proficiency, and the ability to travel both domestically and internationally. Maritime experience is a significant plus.
In this role, you will be responsible for the setup, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced electrical systems aboard cruise ships and yachts. Systems may include fire alarms, security systems, and other essential onboard technologies. You will work independently, often interacting directly with ship captains and yacht owners, to ensure the functionality and reliability of these systems.
Key Responsibilities:
System Setup & Commissioning:
• Install and configure electrical systems aboard cruise ships and yachts, including fire alarm and security systems.
• Perform system integration and functionality tests.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
• Conduct routine maintenance of electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently, minimizing downtime for clients.
Customer Interaction:
• Communicate effectively with ship captains, yacht owners, and other stakeholders to explain system operations and address concerns.
• Provide high-quality customer service while representing the company professionally.
Travel Requirements:
• Travel domestically within the U.S. and internationally to the Caribbean, Europe, and other locations as needed.
• Be flexible to travel for varying durations, ranging from short trips to extended assignments.
Work Conditions:
• Availability to work weekends and 12-hour shifts when required.
• Operate independently in challenging environments.
Qualifications:
• Strong background in electrical systems (formal education or equivalent experience required).
• Hands-on experience in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Maritime industry experience is a significant advantage.
• Proficient in using and troubleshooting computer systems.
• Familiarity with fire alarm and security systems is highly desirable.
• Must hold a valid passport and maintain up-to-date official travel documents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with diverse clients.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and solve problems under pressure.
