Kelly Services has Temp to hire opportunities with a growing client located in Libertyville, IL.
 Looking for a Quality Control
Work Schedules:
2nd Shift – 6:00 pm to 06:15 am       Rotating shift

  • Pay rate: $20.00

Duties & Job Requirements
Position: Quality Control  
Experience:

  • Ability to perform all tasks while continuously standing.

  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently while ensuring quality.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming material, work-in-process, and finished part quality by conducting testing, inspections, and approving/rejecting materials.

  • Contain defective parts to prevent them from reaching customers.

  • Assist in troubleshooting quality concerns and resolving issues on the shift.

  • Rotate between standard work (visual inspections) and utility work (fluctuant work) every 2 weeks with shift partners.

  • Report to all equipment beginning a new run and ensure the production packet is correct for start-up.

  • Conduct lab testing (dimensional, functional) against specifications.

  • Ensure line clearance is adequate for production run to start and only good product is in finished goods cartons.

  • Supply accurate data to manufacturing for troubleshooting.

  • Collect applicable information for product traceability.

  • Read and interpret part specifications, quality plans, and blueprints.

  • Use measuring equipment such as dimensional analyzers, calipers, micrometers, and torque meters to perform visual and functional inspections.

  • Inspect, release, and/or reject work-in-process, finished goods, and incoming raw materials based on inspection findings.

  • Report to equipment that is being restarted as a result of an interruption and ensure line clearance is adequate.

  • Report to equipment where suspect material has been identified and determine if a nonconforming event has taken place.

  • Identify and audit (trace back) to where the defect or suspect condition began.

  • Complete nonconformance report (NCR) documentation in accordance with company standards.

  • Perform functional testing as required by product specifications.
