Kelly® Engineering has exciting direct hire Senior Chemical Engineer role with an innovative company experiencing dynamic growth in Brooklyn, NY.  This role offers a salary up to $200K, a collaborative and diverse work environment and the opportunity to work with cutting edge impactful products.

This position will provide technical leadership in the development of engineering flowsheets, process synthesis, and design, with a primary focus on advancing multi-scale separation technologies. As a key member of the R&D department, this role will collaborate closely with scientists, engineers, and the operations team to drive innovation and deliver cutting-edge solutions.

Senior Chemical Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise technology development and engineering design for downstream separation applications involving chemical and fuel product recovery.

  • Lead process synthesis, simulation and scale up design, equipment selection, process economics for downstream separation application based on upstream carbon dioxide conversion technologies

  • Perform data analysis, present findings and recommendations in oral presentation and/or written reports.

  • Support scientists and engineers in R&D for separation technology development, as well as, invent/develop new separation technologies

  • Manage projects within cost, time quality and process safety constraints.

Senior Chemical Engineer Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering

  • 10+ years of experience as a commercial-scale process unit engineer, process design engineer, separations process development engineer within petroleum refining, petrochemical processing, chemical processing or renewable energy

  • Expertise in industry-standard process simulation modeling software (i.e. Aspen Plus, HYSYS)
