Direct Hire Opportunity Onsite in Garden City Idaho
$65K-$75K/Annual- DOE
Accountant
Commercial and residential property management, lending, and real estate sales company looking for strong accounting individual to join our team. Candidate will have a positive attitude focused on growing the company and comprehensive knowledge of accounting.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the management of the accounting and finance needs of the company including company books and oversight and management of all client trust accounts/books.
- Oversee and back up day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping and preparation of routine accounting statements for approximately 100 client accounts.
- Manage accounting operations and ensure timely delivery and that there is a backup process in place for every critical operation.
- Assist in the creation of new accounting policies and maintain existing policies.
- Monitor emerging technology to determine ways to automate the accounting process without sacrificing accuracy and accountability.
- Responsible for managing:
- Deposits
- Accounts payable
- General ledger; data entry
- Budgets
- Monthly financial statements including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and other required reports
- Year-end 1099s
- Annual year-end tax preparation for CPA
- Basic understanding how to interpret tax returns
- Making accurate journal entries without direction
- Assist with general office management
- Setting up new company books
- Bidding
- Deposits
Qualifications:
- Accounting degree or minimum of 3-5 years accounting experience
- Proficient knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop accounting software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional leadership abilities
