Join Our Team as a Structural Mechanic I
Location: Savannah, GA
Pay Rate: $21.21 per hour
Schedule: Must be willing to work any shift
Gulfstream is seeking a skilled Structural Mechanic I to join our production team. In this role, you will perform various structural assembly operations, including fitting, drilling, and riveting of parts, ensuring quality standards are met. You will work in a team-oriented environment, following blueprints and work orders to assemble components using a variety of tools and techniques. Key Responsibilities:
– Perform assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures.
– Conduct drilling and riveting operations, ensuring quality and compliance with assembly requirements.
– Utilize tools such as portable riveting guns, pneumatic drills, countersinks, rivet shavers, reamers, and files.
– Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, sketches, and operation sheets to determine rivet size, type, and hole pattern.
– Perform quality checks on assemblies prior to final inspection.
– Align and assemble parts using jigs, clamps, and fasteners.
– Maintain accurate records and logs such as MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, and PCOs.
– Support company 5S Program by maintaining a clean and orderly workspace.
– Participate in Lean Activities to improve efficiency and productivity.
– Perform other duties as assigned.
