Kelly Services is seeking a Medical Records Specialist to work at a premier client located in Altamonte Springs, FL 32714

Job Title: Medical Records Specialist 
Job Type: Full-Time, Temp to Hire
Pay $17/hour
Mon-Friday- 8am-5pm ( may be a little flexible on hours)

Job Description: This position plays a crucial role in the seamless integration of data management and mail handling for patient letters. As part of our small in-office team, you will work collaboratively to meet daily responsibilities, including data entry, letter printing, folding, and postage processing. The ideal candidate will have experience in data entry operations and possess strong cognitive and reasoning skills. Additionally, proficiency in computer software programs, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate data entry tasks to ensure seamless data management

  • Print, fold, and process patient letters for mail delivery

  • Collaborate with the team to meet daily responsibilities and deadlines

  • Maintain knowledge of medical terminology related to our core business function

  • Read and interpret procedural processes effectively

  • Communicate effectively with customers, the general public, managers, and clients

  • Utilize mathematical skills for basic calculations

  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs, Acrobat, and Acrobat Reader

  • Navigate and manipulate files on the company intranet/workflow system

  • Understand barcode technology and network security concepts

  • Interpret business instructions in written, oral, or diagram format

  • Maintain flexibility in work assignments and workloads

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

  • At least 1 year of data entry operational and records maintenance experience 

  • General knowledge of medical terminology in relation to our core business function

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs, Acrobat, and Acrobat Reader

  • Knowledge of online Google Apps for document manipulation

  • Proficient in electronic communication, including web-based email and online chat

  • Understanding of Local Area Network (LAN) concepts and file manipulation

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Proficiency in database systems and computer skills, including spreadsheets and word-processing tools

  • Tactile and manual dexterity for handling documents and operating office machines

  • Ability to work quickly and accurately, especially in high-pressure environments

  • General administration skills, including meeting deadlines and working with minimal supervision

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective customer service and internal coordination

  • Strong interpersonal skills for customer service and team collaboration

Work Environment:

  • Physical Demands: Regular sitting and use of hands for finger/handling tasks; occasional lifting/moving of up to 35-40 pounds; specific vision abilities required.

  • Noise Level: Moderate to loud (typical office environment)

  • Confidentiality: Adherence to electronic building entry and computer network security measures; compliance with HIPAA regulations; completion of background check and drug test in accordance with company policies.
