Kelly Services in partnership with a leading client in Grand Rapids, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Manager to oversee inventory management processes within our manufacturing environment. The Inventory Manager will be responsible for maintaining optimal stock levels, ensuring the availability of materials for production, and reducing excess inventory. This role will collaborate closely with suppliers, production teams, and logistics to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.

Responsibilities:
– Balance supply with production demand, ensuring materials are available when needed without creating excess.
– Use ERP/MRP systems to accurately track and audit inventory in real-time, ensuring data integrity and supporting efficient operations.
– Collaborate with suppliers and procurement teams to manage lead times, adjust order volumes, and ensure timely deliveries.
– Develop and implement effective inventory processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce waste.
– Create and analyze inventory reports to identify trends, optimize inventory levels, and support data-driven decision making.
– Work closely with production teams to ensure a smooth material flow, adjusting forecasts as needed to meet production goals.
– Implement lean practices, such as Just-In-Time (JIT) and Kanban, to reduce costs and optimize inventory levels.
– Train, develop, and supervise inventory team members, ensuring adherence to safety and inventory control standards.

Qualifications:
– Minimum of 4 years of experience in inventory management, ideally in a manufacturing setting.
– Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.
– Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
– Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
