We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Human Resources Assistant to handle the company’s leave claims (FMLA and Workman’s Comp process). This is a contract role located in Schaumburg, offering an excellent salary range of $22-27 per hour. As a Human Resources Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our HR department and ensuring the smooth operation of various HR processes. This is a 100% onsite position, and the contract is expected to run through January. There is a possibility of this role transitioning into a contract-to-hire opportunity, providing long-term growth potential for the right candidate. – Pay Rate: $22-27/hr depending on experience
– Shift: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

– Required skills: Multi-state leave processing skills for FMLA and Workman’s comp

Roles and Responsibilities:
– Handle multi-state FMLA leave absences, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
– Conduct investigations and follow-ups related to workers’ compensation cases in over 45 states..
– Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with professionalism and discretion.
– Provide general administrative support to the HR department as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:
– Previous experience in a similar Human Resources role is required
– Familiarity with Paylocity software is highly desired or similar system experience
– Knowledge of FMLA regulations and experience handling FMLA leave absences for multiple states is required
– Experience with workers’ compensation investigations and multi-state workers’ compensation is required
– Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
– Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
– Strong written and verbal communication skills.
– Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
– Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
– Ability to work independently
