Job Description:
We are seeking a dependable and reliable Production Associate in Sacramento, CA. As a Production Associate, you will be responsible for preparing outgoing permit and metered mail, troubleshooting mail piece jams, monitoring mail quality, and ensuring compliance with USPS labels and requirements. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and timely processing of mail and packages.
Responsibilities:
- Review and prepare outgoing mail by ensuring correct dates, postage, and barcodes
- Identify and communicate errors and bad barcodes found in mail or packages
- Troubleshoot and remove mail piece jams from machines
- Follow established practices and policies to ensure quality of output by double-checking various mail attributes
- Ensure mail processing equipment is running properly
- Assist with inbound and outbound processing of mail and packages
- Adhere to acceptance times and deadlines for dispatching trucks
- Prepare mail and packages to meet SLAs (Service Level Agreements)
- Maintain a clean work area to prevent injuries and hazards
- Perform additional duties as required
Requirements:
- Dependable and reliable with a strong work ethic
- Knowledge of pre-sort mailing business is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodations
- Ability to walk, stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods
- Basic understanding of English to follow safety and operational directions
- Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, and different shifts with short notice
