Master Planner 
The Master Planner works as part of a team to align Demand/Supply plans for Clinical Drug Supply Packaging and Distribution activities. 

Responsibilities:
• Generate and manage activity schedules.
• Define and establish metrics, measure and compare against benchmarks, monitor change control, and continuously optimize the process.
• Coordinate master schedules deliverables with external partners.
• Monitor timelines and communications.
• Generate reports to monitor schedule adherence.
• Facilitate Scheduler Forums.
 Maintain Business Rules and Standard Cycle Times.
• Global Inventory Management of Clinical Supply Chain Investigational Materials (bulk drug products, primary packaged drug products, clinical packaged supplies (finished goods), and package components.
• Manage, plan, and coordinate the destruction of obsolete Investigational materials.
• Review Merck-supplied component needs at packaging vendors’ sites and schedule component movements to meet demand.
• Monitor component shipment and release timing for components shipped overseas.
• Coordinate Sampling and Expiry extensions.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience in clinical development and/or clinical supplies.
• Experience with clinical trials.
• Prior supply chain, logistics, or operations knowledge.
• Experience with SAP.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Detail-oriented.
2. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft applications.
3. Proven organizational skills.
4. Strong ability to multi-task.
5. Understanding of cGMPs.
6. Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
7. Demonstrated a high level of initiative and ability to function independently with minimal or no daily supervision.
8. Strategic thinking and independent decision-making abilities.
9. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and tactfully, and to interact with different professional levels of the medical community.
10. Demonstrated ability to think logically and to critically evaluate and solve problems.
11. Highly effective interpersonal skills and professional values necessary for effective teamwork
