Who we are: Fareva is a leading contract manufacturer of pharmaceutical and personal care products. Located at intersection of Darbytown Road and Laburnum Avenue in Eastern Henrico County. Employs 600 full time employees. Comfortable climate controlled facility covering over 745,000 square feet. 

Pay: $25.00- $27.00 based on experience 

Shift: 1st shift

Job Duties: Responsible for installing, repairing, overhauling, and maintaining the USP water room systems and equipment, performing tasks within the Manufacturing group, and performing other related tasks supporting site maintenance and services. Follows current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and adheres to all Standard operating procedures (SOP) and environmental, health and safety-related policies.
 Job Responsibilities:        

  • Performs scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) checks and services on the USP purified water system to include pumps, vapor compression stills, ion exchange columns, softeners, carbon filters, singularly or as a team with other trades as assigned. 

  • Performs routine PM tests in between scheduled PM actions to check for proper operations of the system. 

  • Troubleshooting and repairing pumps, vapor compression stills, ion exchange columns, softeners, carbon filters, and tank cleaning. 

  • Replacing carbon resin, solenoids, repairing leaks and replacing defective parts. Assists with maintaining various manufacturing equipment to include pumps, mixers, tanks, etc.

  • Performs other USP/Manufacturing duties as requested by USP/Manufacturing Work Group Leader including but not limited to:

  • Unloading truck of bulk liquids, manufacturing tank cleaning, housekeeping duties, minor wall and floor repairs, temporary roof repairs, driving company vehicles to off-site locations to obtain/deliver equipment and/or parts.

  • Maintains equipment associated with the Lift Station including pumps, tank, chemical treatment, inspection checks.

  • Works together as a team with other trades as assigned

 Requirements
Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Experience working in a manufacturing facility on pumps, mixers, filter, etc.

  • 5+ years of maintenance mechanical experiences 

  •  Forklift experience required

 Skills and Abilities:

  • Familiar with computers

  • Able to locate information in operator equipment manuals

  • Must be able to effectively communicate and coordinate the shutdown of equipment for maintenance

  • Able to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervision the status and concerns of critical equipment

  • Able to control system with the SCADA

  • Able to work and assist other groups in bringing failed equipment back online.
