Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to join our team at a leading citrus company. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse and distribution center. Your primary responsibility will be to safely and accurately operate a forklift to load, unload, and move products and materials throughout the facility.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to move products and materials within the warehouse and distribution center
- Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring the accurate and timely movement of goods
- Stack and store products in designated areas, following proper inventory procedures
- Perform routine maintenance on forklifts, such as refueling, oiling, and battery charging
- Inspect forklifts before each shift, reporting any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with sanitation standards
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth workflow and efficient operations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or distribution center environment
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Strong knowledge of forklift safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to operate various types of forklifts, including sit-down and stand-up models.
- Proficient in accurately reading and interpreting written instructions and labels.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
