Contract-to-Hire
Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Kelly Science & Clinical is  seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Microbiology Laboratory Technician to join our team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for career growth, starting in our Sample Preparation department, with potential for cross-training in other areas over time. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of all quality activities as per Operating Procedures and test methods.

  • Handle samples and conduct analyses according to established Operating Procedures and test methods.

  • Maintain and verify laboratory equipment, ensuring it is functioning properly.

  • Report any equipment deficiencies or malfunctions to the supervisor.

  • Identify and document nonconformities using Corrective Action Requests.

  • Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

  • Execute tasks and responsibilities to ensure high-quality work and customer satisfaction.

  • Ensure compliance with ISO 17025 standards.

  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a commitment to the quality system and continuous improvement.

  • Promote and maintain a positive team environment.

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Technical Management.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree (A.A./A.S.) or higher

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time

  • Must be able to routinely lift 20-30 pounds and be comfortable with handling hot liquids.

  • Experience with Windows PC and Microsoft Office

  • Able to calculate basic math

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established protocols.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Commitment to maintaining quality standards and continuous improvement.

  • Experience working in fast-paced environments is a plus.
